EVAMOR WATER PARTNERS WITH SAN ANTONIO’S JUVENILE DIABETES RESEARCH FOUNDATION TO ENCOURAGE HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
Covington, La. – October 5, 2010 – The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is teaming up with Evamor Natural Artesian Water on a mission to encourage San Antonio’s kids to maintain a healthy lifestyle in the Walk to Cure Diabetes. Taking place at the Alamo Dome on Sunday, October 17, the event totaled thousands of participants last year and is expecting 5,000 this year.
With the theme to the 16th annual San Antonio walk appropriately titled “Remember the Mission,” Evamor is reaching out to educate the San Antonio community about the importance of living well. Bottles of Evamor will be handed out to all participants at the event, serving as a reminder to all runners to avoid sugary sports drinks while exercising, and instead hydrate with water. These sugary beverages are often disguised as healthy, but could instead pose a health risk to diabetics.
“Providing the necessary education and resources to leading a healthy lifestyle is a cause we are very passionate about,” said Bo Reily, president of Evamor. “The opportunity to partner with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Walk to Cure Diabetes is a perfect fit for our mission, of not only hydrating San Antonians, but also keeping them healthy.”
Boasting an alkalinity level 140 times higher than other bottled waters, Evamor quenches more than just thirst; it also helps to neutralize excess acid in the body, caused by foods found in the typical American diet (processed foods). A couple of smooth and refreshing servings of Evamor a day are a great source of alkalinity. Increased dietary alkalinity is known to help reduce body fat and fatigue, protect bones and support the immune system, leading to better overall wellness.
Currently, Evamor is available at most natural foods retailers in Texas through Tree of Life Distributors, United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI) and KEHE Distributors and can also be found at the following locations:
