Alkaline Foods for Breakfast
March 25, 2010
Ideally, it’s good to strive for a mixture of acidic and alkaline foods in your everyday diet. Whether a food is acidic or alkaline is determined by its pH level, a measure of being acid or basic. Foods that are a seven or less on the pH scale are considered to be acidic, whereas foods greater than seven are alkaline. Many traditional breakfast foods are acidic, so it can be beneficial to include more alkaline breakfast foods in your diet.
