How to Start an Alkaline Diet
April 10, 2011
The term ”alkaline diet” refers to a way of eating that focuses on foods that are more alkalizing in the body, when compared to foods that are acid forming. Acid-forming foods are typically those that are more processed; however, some natural and whole foods are considered acidic. An alkaline diet is not intended to completely erase acidifying foods from the diet, but more to create a balance that is around 75 percent alkaline to 25 percent acidic, according to TheWolfeClinic.com. Charts and lists of acid and alkaline foods are available online.
