Get to know the Dirty Dozen and the Clean 15!

You’ve probably heard of the Dirty Dozen and the Clean 15 when it comes to grocery shopping. Studies have shown that there are certain foods (a dozen, to be exact) that are best purchased organically due the high amounts of pesticides that are used when these foods are grown organically. Similarly, there are 15 other foods that you can feel good about purchasing their conventional or non-organic version because they are not as exposed to pesticides and chemicals during production. Our friend and Know Better Brigade Member Kristina Carrillo-Bucaram walks you through the list and even shares her tips for saving money when it comes to buying fresh!
