Golden Milk & Tea Latte

Get your health and wellness fix while winding down with this delicious blend of black tea (freshly brewed with smooth-tasting evamor water) and soothing golden milk. Use a convenient Golden Milk powder, or make your own golden milk from scratch (recipe below).

Prep time: 5 minutes

Yield: 1 serving

INGREDIENTS

½ cup almond milk (or preferred milk)

½ teaspoon Golden Milk powder

1 to 2 teaspoons honey

¼ teaspoon vanilla extract (or paste)

½ cup Luzianne® Tea, freshly brewed with evamor water

Cinnamon, to garnish

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in the Golden Milk powder, honey and vanilla extract. When hot and bubbly, remove from heat and froth with a milk frother.

  2. Pour the milk into a mug, reserving some froth.

  3. Stir the hot tea into the mug of milk, then garnish with the reserved froth and the cinnamon.


Kitchen Tip:

If you can't get any Golden Milk powder, here’s how to make homemade Golden Milk from scratch:

INGREDIENTS

1 cup preferred milk

1 teaspoon raw honey

½ teaspoon coconut oil

¼ teaspoon ground turmeric

¼ teaspoon ground ginger

2 to 3 cardamom pods, crushed

2 to 3 black peppercorns

1 cinnamon stick

1 star anise

½ vanilla bean, scraped

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the honey, coconut oil, turmeric, ginger, cardamom, peppercorns, cinnamon stick, star anise and vanilla and whisk well.

  2. Simmer the milk (be careful not to boil) for 10 minutes, then remove from heat and let stand for 10 minutes longer.

  3. Strain out and discard the spices.
